Twenty-First Century Writers is a nonprofit organization that’s purpose is to advance the literary arts and creative expression through educational programming, public events, and creative initiatives that support writers (including underserved and emerging writers) and engage the general public thru events that are open and easily accessible to the general public. Activities include:

Literary Events and Festivals 

The organization produces literary events, festivals, and readings in public venues that promote engagement with literature and provide opportunities for the public to experience and participate in the literary arts. 

Writing Workshops and Educational Programs

The organization conducts educational programs for writers including writing workshops, mentorship programs, and professional development training designed to help writers improve their craft and build sustainable creative practices. These programs are open to the public and provide educational instruction, peer collaboration, and feedback. The organization also works with schools to help provide comprehensive writing and literacy programs and activities for students.

Writer-in-Residence and Poet Laureate Programs

The organization organizes writer-in-residence and artist-laureate programs, including Poet Laureate initiatives, in partnership with local communities. These programs provide public readings, workshops, and community-based creative projects that increase access to the literary arts. 

Publishing Activities

The organization publishes literary works in print and digital formats, including books, magazines, and multimedia content, to expand public access to literature. 

Website and Digital Platform

The organization operates an online platform that provides educational resources, promotes literary events, and connects writers with audiences. 

All activities are conducted in furtherance of the organization’s charitable and educational purposes and are accessible to the general public.
